Homecoming 2007
I've been meaning to write an entry about yesterday's homecoming festivities, but like the college student that I am, procrastinated through the day...and here I am now!

Let me start off by saying that I had a very good time. It's funny how here at Gannon, i'm either having too much fun, or none at all...but ANYHOO...

The day started off with the homecoming parade. It was okay...I will say that it gave me something to do on a saturday morning. A lot of the sorroities and fraternities came up with little dance routines to garner support for their respective sorority/fraternity. Nevertheless, I ended up showing a wee bit of favoritism to AST and ZBT, because I have two friends that are AST's and i've been asked numerous times to join that sorority, and usually when I go to a frat party, it is at a ZBT house...so, yea. But, as stated before, the parade was kind of silly and corny. Oooh, but I must mention the fact that during the parade, as the President was passing in his designated car, he yells out at me "Do you ever get off your phone???" haha. I feel famous.

After the parade was the game. I went only because my sexy Italian stallion Tony, aka McDreamy (and yes I am going to change his nickname), is on the team and I wanted to watch his sexy ass play. My my my did he look good in that uniform! And his form when he was running, and the way he would push and tackle the other guys...ok, I am getting ahead of myself here. But what's funny is the fact that he got a lot of playing time! It's like the coach knew that I was there to watch him alone, and kept him on field as my eye candy...well, a girl can dream! But yea, coincidence.

And of course, much later on was the dance.

What's funny about this homecoming dance business is the fact that it was my first one ever. My high school, for some reason, never had homecoming dances. There was the parade, followed by the game, and then BOOM! over! Home! And that's what I was used to, which was why I never really participated in homecoming festivities then. The king and Queen weren't even announced the day of homecoming, but BEFORE homecoming! How explicitly lame is that?

But yea, because of my high school's lame homecoming rituals, this homecoming dance stuff was pretty new to me.

Before the dance, I got drunk at my friend Jessica's apartment. It was actually a lot of fun. I brought my roomate Elizabeth along, and we all just had a jolly 'ole conversation...actually, a series of them, but I will not get into that now.

I finally arrive at the dance drunk out of my ass. Although I was already pretty drunk, I still proceed to sneak past the security guard into the over 21 section, and having Jessica buy me some white wine. I also remember at this point screaming "I BEAT THE SYSTEM!!"haha.

After this, I remember holding Jessica's hand and dragging her around the place with me, in search of McDreamy...yea, I was lookin to shag 'ole guy.haha.

But as i'm looking for him, I of course bump into other people I know, and since I had some Captain in my system and was thus a lovable drunk, proceeded to hugging them all. This included my editor in chief, Stan and Courtney, my friend Cara (I actually jumped on her lap and nearly dry-humped her), my ex-Wehrle neighbor Krista (I actually hugged her a good amount of times), Mark the hott football player from last year, my friend Coleen, and this gay guy named Chris, who actually hugged me real tight and for a good amount of time. Even Jessica proceeded to telling us to "stop groping eachother."haha. If only she knew.

But after awhile, I decide that McDreamy wasn't there and just let it go. At this point, I just get on the floor and dance my ass off with Jessica. It was interesting to say the least. We were pretty much grinding on eachother like we were a real couple...I expected that from myself, but not from Jessica. But it was awesome. I actually danced rather intimately with this one guy whom I usually see a lot around campus, but he never acknowledges my existence...now isn't that ironic that HE was the one guy who was allover me last night?hehe. I guess he did acknowledge me afterall. I also had another guy whom I had spoken to earlier on, come up to me again and say that I was beautiful and a lot of fun and that he had wished that I had spilled wine on him...or something like that! I don't even remember clearly because I was that drunk.

After the dance, me and Jessica follow this random girl i've never met before (that happens a lot in college parties) to the TKE house for an after party...and lo and behold, as soon as I get there, who do I see? McDreamy himself! This excited the hell out of me. I run up to him and yell "hey Tony!" and give him a big 'ole hug. He looked a little scruffy, but still hott. I think he was smoking a cigar too.

Nevertheless, McDreamy convinces (well I wouldn't say convinced, because it wouldn't take much for me to follow him around) me and Jessica to go to the party at the Pike house instead because the TKE party was "beat." And as Jessica put it, I followed my man all the way to the Pike house. I thought it was so sweet how, at one point, he leaves his friends, walks all the way to the back where me and Jessica were walking, and waits for me with a smile on his face, it actually made me blush...if that's even possible.

We finally arrive at the Pike house, and at this point, some random dude with no shirt on is talking to me and Jessica. I actually got so caught up in conversation with him, that I forget to actually walk into the Pike house, and all of a sudden I hear Jessica say "turn around...turn around!" And I turn around and see McDreamy looking sexy as oh so ever on the Pike house stoop saying "why are you talking to that guy? talk to me!" awww he was jealous. I also thought that was sweet...well atleast a little bit.teehee. I proceed to hug him two more times, just for the heck of it.

We didn't stay long at the Pike house cause McDreamy disappeared, and he was the only reason I even went in the first place.

So me and Jessica leave the Pike house and part ways at the half point between our apartments. I promise to call her once I get home, but forget to, and she ends up having to call me.haha. Oops.

It was a great day overall, and actually makes me look forward to next year's homecoming.

...and as for the whole McDreamy situation, I'm just going to keep poking him on facebook, and see where that takes me.
